Exhibition “AMBASSADORS OF PEACE”

For millions of years, nature has created an amazing and diverse world of animals, honing their perfection and increasing diversity. Their world is older than ours, but they are the same, as we are, prisoners of earthly splendor and earthly suffering, caught with us in the network of modern life, into the network of this fast-paced time, Where are they, unlike human, became the most vulnerable. Some the Earth has already lost forever, others are in the process of extinction.

The present time is colored with deep concern of people for the future of the planet., preservation of nature, all its living inhabitants. We start to think about, who we are and what connects us to that wonderful variety of life forms, which is still preserved on our Earth, in our common house.

The exhibition of the Moscow animal artist Sergei Stroganov "Messengers of Peace" presents impressive in its images, craftsmanship and impressive work format, made exclusively in pencil, a significant part of which is presented in the currently fashionable direction – hyperrealism.

It's not so easy to draw a picture with a pencil. It takes even more time and effort., rather than painting a picture with other visual materials. Amazing technique and detail, scrupulousness and accurate understanding of the concept allowed to create an amazing in its scale gallery of unforgettable images and plots, recreate a special world, destroying the canonized notions of animals.

The project aims to tell viewers about the beauty and fragility of the surrounding world, appreciate him, remind us of the responsibility of each of us for the vulnerable balance between man and nature, draw attention to endangered species, which can still be preserved on our planet.

The images he creates are always individual and laconic.. He doesn't just follow animal reproduction, but always strives to create a work, filled with harmony, creating a special mood and sound.

His characters live a special life, trying to tell the viewer something very exciting, allowing them to convey a silent message.

Being immensely in love with this amazingly beautiful animal world, the artist, as it were, experiences this light moment with them, caught by the creative touch of a pencil, establishing an invisible connection between the drawing and the viewer, moving from contemplation to reflection.

The works presented at the exhibition captivate with their special magically bewitching and positive-emotional energy, each of which has amazingly incredible love, respect and dedication to nature.

Sergey Stroganov creates his drawings on the basis of peace and kindness. That is why his work "Messengers of Peace" is so impressive., guessed with the works of Pablo Picasso and unusually touching "Dances of the Loggerhead", "Meeting of the Irbis and Apollo" and "Dreams of the Amur Tigers".

Also noteworthy is the triptych "I do not see", "I can not hear", "I will not say". Animal behavior is unlikely to occur in nature., so accurately fitting the titles of these works, but the artist's art allows us to take a fresh look at the world around us and at ourselves. You can hardly see flying tusks of a bush elephant in nature, white rhino or walrus, so precisely intertwined with the works of Salvador Dali, but the reason for the extermination of these animals so naturally noticed by the artist. And it is unlikely that the crying of Japanese cranes can be perceived differently., rather than a call to salvation.

In many of his drawings, animal eyes are very expressive., which makes the essence of living nature more palpable and brings us closer to self-knowledge. Images of animals with cubs are especially sensuously conveyed, that's why such touching and humanly understandable works appear from under the artist's pencil “Bison family” with surprisingly soulful eyes of characters, “Fish owl. Feeding” with dedicated care for the offspring, "Sumatran Orangutan" with the nagging thought of a lost baby and a toy replaced, "Family of Mednov foxes", "Sterhi", "Nubian mountain goats", frolicking “Panda” on a typically Russian rocking chair with Gzhel patterns, playing “Polar bear. Game” and sleeping “Manul”, personifying all the beauty of infancy.

The compositional constructions of Sergei Stroganov's works are always plot-based, although they are deprived of the external attributes of the living space of this or that animal. Lyricism and drama are always subtly balanced in his works..

The moments of animal life stopped by the artist, of which there are fewer and fewer left on the planet, usually, filled with silence and self-absorption. They are often brooding or sad., sometimes playful. His drawings are so graceful and subtle, that it is possible to capture an important feature, which expresses emotion. Here are the expanded multi-figure compositions., and short episodes, and portrait images. Sergei Stroganov's characters are rather allegorical, what are symbolic: these images do not conceal spiritual depth, they borrow only certain functions of human existence, endowing animals with an unusual palette of emotions, from which his works become even more expressive, emphasizing elusive and fleeting movements. They seem to float in the air, being out of time and out of space. The peculiar charm of many of his works lies in the fact, that along with convention, they invariably retain the vital essence of the animal.

Playful and funny, static and moving, sometimes causing affection, animals at the works of Sergei Stroganov are endowed with special properties. Interpreting their gestures and facial expressions, he managed to create a whole galaxy of amazing images, each of which emphasizes not only the essence of the animal itself, but also conveys his state. At the same time, the fragmentation of the images only emphasizes the plot he has chosen..

The artist is really very close to the animal world, understands them, feels, and therefore knows how to convey in his works more than just a copied character. He is characterized by romanticism and experience., love and respect, admiration and care, allowing you to very accurately represent the personality of each character, the ability to display in great detail the nature and habits of animals, their weakness, vulnerability, which means, dependence on us, of people.

His works are always the fruit of his own images., your own experiences and your own feelings. They are always on the outside., the seeming simplicity of the image, and sometimes naivety, inspired by deep philosophical meaning.

He doesn't feel the need to change his chosen style., because that animal world, to whom all his paintings are dedicated, he himself is infinitely diverse, where you can find endless inspiration and an inexhaustible source of new ideas.

Sergey Stroganov found his own individual path in art.

Without exaggeration, he can be called the master of the animalistic novel..
